Supervision…

I offer supervision both in the workplace and in private practice.

I worked with Susan as a supervisor for several years. I always found her to be approachable and helpful. She was encouraging and affirming, had creative ideas, and was able to think outside the box when appropriate. She kept up to date with matters concerning the law and practice. what she did not know, she took trouble to find out, or pointed me in the right direction to do so myself”. -

”Supervision sessions with Susan were invaluable and I always came away from them with an increased sense of self-awareness alongside a deeper understanding of the therapeutic alliance. Susan is naturally warm, empathic and engaging person which made it easy for me to build a rapport with her. During the sessions Susan worked in a person-centered way, highlighting ethical factors for discussion whilst being challenging when needed. I always felt supported and listened to by Susan, and I have no hesitation in recommending her”. - Helen Counsellor (August 2022)

Susan holds secure boundaries in a very safe and caring way. As her supervise, I felt valued and appreciated and that she always supported and challenged me to work at my best. She brings warmth and humour to her relationships whilst maintaining professionalism and a calm strong presence. Her passion for her work shines bright and she is dedicated and very hard working. I would confidently and without hesitation recommend her to someone who needed a therapist or a supervisor.

I am a qualified counselling supervisor and have experience in supervising various professionals, including support workers, counsellors, and counsellors in training. I completed my degree in 2009.

I like to work with each individual as they embark on or hone their chosen career, supporting them in both a personal and professional sphere.

I have always been treated with great professionalism and respect by Susan over the few months I worked with her. She has given me every opportunity to prepare for my role as a trainee counsellor and I have been grateful for her support and extensive experience of the nature of issues I have been working with within the project. Susan is cheerful, unflappable, and it is obvious that she takes her responsibilities very seriously. I can learn much from her approach as I hone my counselling skills, and my experience will no doubt do much to inform my future counselling practice.
